Delete your account

Prayer Book lets you delete your own account. You do not need to reinstall the app.

In the app or on the website

Sign in to Prayer Book.
Open Settings (My Profile).
Choose Delete my account.
Type DELETE to confirm.

We then sign you out and take you to the home page.

What we delete

Your profile, name, email and profile photo
Your bookings
Prayer requests, comments and encouragements you wrote
Prayer wall posts, voice notes and sketches you added
Your private prayer journal
Personal events and check-ins
Push notification tokens for your devices, and your presence

What we keep

Church events, membership and posts that belong to the church
Invoice and subscription records for the church, where tax law requires them, for up to 7 years
Encrypted backup copies, which are removed within 30 days

If you are the only admin of a church, we will not delete the account. Transfer ownership to another admin first, or email us and we will help. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a church subscription. Another admin can manage the plan on the Prayer Book website.

If you cannot use the app

Email contact@prayerbooker.com from the email address on your account. Tell us you want the account deleted. We will delete it for you and confirm by email.
