Privacy Policy

When you create an account we store your name, email address, a securely hashed password (or your sign-in provider identifier), your timezone and your notification preferences. If you sign in with Google or Apple and have not added your own picture, we may show the profile picture that provider shares. We use these details to sign you in, show your bookings in your local time and send the emails you have asked for.

If you set up or join a church, we store the church name, contact details, invitation links, membership records, prayer and fasting events, prayer slots and bookings. Church leaders can add a church logo and an image for an event. Administrators of your church can see who has booked which prayer times and who is a member. We do not sell church or member data, and we do not share it with other churches.

Prayer requests, comments, prayer wall notes, voice notes, sketches, journal entries, personal prayer events, check-ins and encouragements are stored so they can be shown to the people you share them with. A request shared with your church is visible to members of that church. A private journal note stays with you. Encouragements on a personal prayer event are visible to the people walking that event together. Church administrators can moderate or remove content that breaks their guidelines.

If you share a prayer request without your name, other members see it as anonymous. We still store it on your account, so you can manage it, and so blocking and moderation can work. Other members are not shown that it is yours.

Prayer requests and other things you write can include religious beliefs, and health details about you or someone else. We treat that as sensitive information. We store it so your church can pray, and we show it only to the people you share it with. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising. Please only share someone else's health details when you have their permission. You can delete your own posts, and church leaders can remove content that should not be there.

You can add a profile photo with the camera or from your photo library. Church leaders can upload a church logo and event images. In a prayer room you can add a sketch or a voice note. We store those files so the people you share them with can see or hear them. The camera, photo library and microphone are used only when you choose to take a photo, pick a picture or record a voice note.

Pray with me writes a short guided prayer and reads it aloud. To do that we send the event title, summary and prayer focus, and the text of your church's open prayer requests, to the Lovable AI gateway, which uses Google Gemini to write the prayer. Names are not sent with those requests. The prayer text is then sent through the same gateway to OpenAI for text-to-speech. We do not store the prayer after it is played, unless you use Report this prayer, in which case we keep the text with your report so it can be reviewed.

If you search Scripture by topic, the words you type are sent to the Lovable AI gateway (Google Gemini) to suggest Bible passages. We do not store that search text.

Prayer Book does not use this text to train its own models. Lovable's privacy policy says data that people submit to an app is not used to train Lovable's models, and that Lovable's agreements with model providers restrict how those providers may use the content, including for training. We do not make a wider promise than those terms.

Church subscriptions are processed by our payment provider. Card details are entered directly with the provider and are never stored on our servers. We keep a record of your subscription status, trial dates, renewal dates and invoice history so we can give your church access and answer billing questions.

We use essential cookies and local browser storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as your chosen view. The published site, including inside the app, uses Lovable analytics. That records page views, the page you came from, your language, a session id, and how quickly pages load. Lovable also describes this measurement as able to include device type and an approximate location. We use it to understand which pages are used and to find faults.

The public website may also set an advertising cookie, described under Advertising measurement. That cookie is not used inside the app.

On the public Prayer Book website we use the Meta Pixel to measure page visits and sign-up completions. We use it to see how our ads are doing. It runs only on the public website. It does not run in the Prayer Book app on iPhone or Android, and it does not run in the signed-in app.

We do not send your name, email address, church name or user id. Meta's privacy policy is at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/.

You can turn this off at any time with the Your privacy choices link on the public website. In the UK, the EU, the EEA and Switzerland we ask you to accept or decline before the cookie is set. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a decline.

We send account emails (verification, password reset, invitations), booking confirmations and reminders, and occasional service notices. You can change reminder settings in the app or ask us to stop non-essential emails.

If you use the Prayer Book app on a phone or tablet and allow notifications, we store a notification token for that device, along with the platform (iOS or Android) and the app version and build number, so we can remind you shortly before a time you have booked. We use these only for booking reminders, never for marketing. You can turn reminders off in the app, remove a device by signing out of it, or delete your account, and the tokens are deleted with it.

While you are signed in we record that you are online and the last time you were seen, so church leaders can see who is around. This is not your location. We do not collect GPS or a map location.

Prayer Book is not for children under 13. Please do not create an account if you are under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has an account, email contact@prayerbooker.com and we will delete it.

We keep your data while your account or church is active. You can delete your account yourself: sign in, open My Prayer Book, and choose Delete my account. You can also start that from our delete account page. You can also email contact@prayerbooker.com. Deleting your account removes your profile, profile photo, bookings, prayer requests, comments, wall posts, voice notes, sketches, journal and notification tokens. Some records (such as invoices) may be kept where the law requires it. We keep report records while we need them to review safety issues. Backup copies are removed within 30 days.

Data is stored with our hosting and database providers, which may store and process it in more than one country. Pray with me and Scripture search also send text to the Lovable AI gateway, and from there to Google and OpenAI, which may process it outside your country.

You can access, correct or export your information, withdraw consent for non-essential emails, block another member, or ask us to delete your data. Contact us and we will respond as promptly as we can.
